Why we built Sonorous

The ideas inside novels, histories, biographies, business classics, e-books, even long articles on WeChat, ask for unhurried hours and a quiet desk.

Life rarely leaves us such hours. We drive long roads, work, keep house, bathe, exercise. Our eyes wear down, our hands are never free, and our ears stay empty.

We remember the old radio: sound moving through the day's work, no page to watch, stories and ideas flowing with it. Today's radio gives more room to advertising than to its own programming.

We wanted that ease back. Turn dense writing into sound, and reading is no longer bound to a desk. With your hands busy and your eyes at rest, words, stories and ideas can still reach you.
